Trout Unlimited of California has announced its second annual Sierra Trout Camp. This weekend event will be held July 6-7th, 2013 at the internationally renowned UC Berkeley Sagehen Creek Field Station located on Sagehen Creek, just 10 miles north of Truckee, CA.

Sierra Trout Camp is designed to give kids an awareness, appreciation and understanding of the importance of our nation’s aquatic resources with an emphasis on conservation, protection and restoration of cold water ecosystems. Participants will learn how to fish and tie their own flies. They will also learn about stream ecology, cutthroat trout restoration, stream physics and chemistry, fishing etiquette and aquatic entomology.

Girls and boys 9 to 11 years of age are eligible to apply. Trout Unlimited will accept a total of 15 participants. This senior role is ideal for a proven fundraising leader who excels in major gifts, donor strategy, and board partnership, and who is ready to help shape the next phase of TRWC’s organizational growth.
