Preserving and protecting the watershed is surprisingly multifaceted.

Part science: we assess and monitor the geology, hydrology, biology, and botany of each project.

Part management: we align agencies, consultants, contractors, and volunteers to get the job done.

Part funding: we find the grants, cost-sharing, and donations needed to finance each effort.

Part education: we tell locals, visitors, and water-users about our stressed and fragile eco-system.

We’re hiring a seasonal Hydrology Technician to help with field surveys and data compilation for the design and implement of restoration projects. They will work on projects shared by the Truckee River Watershed Council and the U.S. Forest Service.

If you’re interested, we’re looking forward to hearing from you! Please see the hiring announcement for details and send an application. We are reviewing applications as they come in but the deadline is March 3, 2021.
