Love the River? Come work with us! We are currently looking for great candidates to work with us at the Truckee River Watershed Council as Conservation Assistants and Direct Contact Associates for our River-Friendly Landscaping program. Here are the details regarding these two opportunities. Please feel free to share!

The CA also assists the property owner by providing a list of contractors, verifying ongoing and completed work and helping to facilitate a potential rebate.

Direct Contact Associate (1-2 openings)
This independent contractor position runs from May through September, 2014. The application deadline is Monday, March 10, 2014. PLEASE NOTE: Interviews will be held on Friday, March 14th in the morning.
As a Direct Contact Associate, you’ll be promoting our River-Friendly Landscaping program by canvasing targeted neighborhoods and explaining the program directly to the property owners, obtaining contact information from the owners, making referrals to the Conservation Assistants to schedule site evaluations and tracking the properties visited and the owner’s response. You will also assist Conservation Assistants in recruiting homeowners at events such as Earth Day, Truckee Thursdays and other community wide events.
The River-Friendly Landscaping program improves water quality by assisting residential property owners in voluntarily reducing or preventing soil erosion from residential neighborhoods in the Truckee River watershed located in the Town of Truckee, portions of Placer County and portions of Nevada County.
