Here are few projects we worked on the week of 7/16 for the Truckee River watershed:
- Coldstream Canyon. Beth Christman is finalizing permits and contracts this week. In mid-August, we’ll start implementation of this stream restoration project.
- Aquatic Invasive Species. Andy Otto is working with the Town of Truckee, Nevada County, and Sierra County to implement mandatory watercraft inspections for Donner Lake, Stampede, Boca, Prosser, and Martis. Mandatory inspections will start next year in 2013.
- Invasive Weeds. Jeanette Halderman is developing more tools for our Weed Warriors to protect native plans. She is facilitating a workshop next week on identification of invasive weeds.
