LCT Fuels and Independence Tributary AOP Restoration Project: With our partner, the USFS – Tahoe National Forest (TNF) Sierraville Ranger District, we are releasing an RFP for the LCT Fuels and Independence Tributary AOP Restoration Project.

The Truckee River Watershed Council (TRWC) seeks to hire a consultant to complete silvicultural and stand inventory surveys for the LCT Fuels and Independence Tributary AOP Restoration Project.  The project scope includes preparation of environmental regulatory documents (for NEPA/CEQA) via completion of field surveys and inventory/assessment, and report compilation.

The purpose of the LCT Fuels and Independence Tributary AOP Restoration Project. is to: 1) Implement forest health treatments to enhance ecological function and reduce risk of fire or other unplanned disturbances; 2) reduce impact on high quality meadow systems and aspen stands and improve ecosystem resilience to climate change and prolonged drought; and 3) improve water quality, enhance habitat, and improve access to Independence Lake and surrounding area.

This senior role is ideal for a proven fundraising leader who excels in major gifts, donor strategy, and board partnership, and who is ready to help shape the next phase of TRWC’s organizational growth.

  • Commitment to environmental stewardship and community-based work
