June 4th – Aquatic Monitoring Field Collection
Come out and collect aquatic insects as we monitor the health of our watershed! We provide everything, just enjoy a morning outdoors. June 4th – Weed Warriors Work Day – Truckee Day
Join us as we remove specific non-native invasive plant species from five neighborhoods around Truckee. Volunteers should bring gloves and a hand trowel or other digging tool to remove weeds. We will provide clear plastic bags and weed identification information. Check in begins at 8:00 am where you will be assigned a stretch of road, receive a great T-shirt and a ticket for a free lunch at the Town-wide Block Party that begins at noon. June 16th – June 18th – Adopt-A-Stream
May through September we have a committed team of volunteers that go out four times to monitor the health of our streams. If you haven’t done it before you are welcome to come and join one of our trained team leaders and learn how we test the water to determine the health of the stream. June 23rd – River Talk

The Truckee River Watershed Council (TRWC) seeks an experienced Development Director to lead our philanthropic strategy and strengthen long-term funding for watershed restoration across the region.

This senior role is ideal for a proven fundraising leader who excels in major gifts, donor strategy, and board partnership, and who is ready to help shape the next phase of TRWC’s organizational growth.
