The Truckee River Watershed Council Board of Directors provides direction on such items as administrative policy, financial and legal oversight, personnel policies, fundraising and other administrative matters.

• The Board Members generally meet the 4th Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November. Please check our calendar for specific dates and times.
• These are open meetings and we welcome your participation. Please contact us if you are interested in attending.

Coordinating Committee:

The Coordinating Committee receives recommendations from and make recommendations on program oversight, program planning, policy direction, and funding strategy.

• The Committee is composed of the chairperson of Watershed Issues Forum, the chairpersons of each Stakeholder Committee, and the Executive Director.
• The Committee generally meets every 4th Friday of February, April, June, August, October, December. Please check our calendar for specific dates and times.

Project & Assessments Committee

The Projects and Assessments Committee identifies and prioritizes restoration and other improvement projects within the Truckee River watershed. This Committee also reviews and approves watershed and sub-basin assessments conducted by the TRWC.

• Starting December 2011, the Committee generally meets the 2nd Wednesday of March, June, September and December. Please check our calendar for specific dates and times.

Truckee River Day Steering Committee

The Truckee River Day Steering Committee chooses, designs, and implements restoration projects for our annual Truckee River Day.

• The Committee meets February through November, typically in the later afternoon or early evening. Meetings are often held at project sites.

Truckee River Basin Water Group

The Truckee River Basin Water Group monitors water releases from Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake,  Prosser Reservoir, Independence Lake, Stampede Reservoir and Boca Reservoir.  The Group also monitors progress on the Truckee River Operating Agreement.  

• The Group generally meets the 4th Wednesday of every month from 10:00-Noon. Please check our calendar for specific dates and times.

Weed Warrior Steering Committee:

The Weed Warrior Steering Committee organizes volunteer programs to identify and control invasive weeds in the Truckee River watershed.
